De financiële klimaatbijdrage voor bedrijven omvat ten minste directe emissies die door het bedrijf worden gegenereerd (d.w.z. warmteopwekking, wagenpark en vluchtige gassen), emissies van ingekochte energie zoals elektriciteit, en ook indirecte emissies van ingekochte energie, zakenreizen en woon-werkverkeer van werknemers. Andere emissies die buiten de directe controle van het bedrijf vallen, zoals emissies tijdens de extractie en productie van door het bedrijf gekochte grondstoffen, halffabricaten, externe logistiek, productgebruik en behandeling aan het einde van de levensduur, zijn niet verplicht.

Tijdens de productie, de verwerking en het transport van een product wordt CO2 uitgestoten. Deze uitstoot kan direct verband houden met het product, bijvoorbeeld door grondstoffen, verpakking, voorbereidende producten of verwijdering. Ze kunnen ook indirect zijn, bijvoorbeeld door het woon-werkverkeer van werknemers. Emissies van de gebruiksfase worden niet meegerekend, tenzij het product zelf CO2-emissies veroorzaakt, zoals een verbrandingsmotor of een verwarming op gas.

As an entirely organic roastery we already work with suppliers who are taking action to minimise the environmental harm associated with industrial scale coffee farming. By supporting cooperatives that champion positive and chemical free farming we are helping solidify this movement, we also select coffees that are Rainforest Alliance and Bird Friendly accredited where possible.

Our entirely compostable product range provides an end of life for our products that avoids long term waste and landfill contributions. We constantly assess our supply chain to make sure our suppliers are as local as possible, working to avoid unnecessary long-distance shipping and the associated emissions.

We deliver our coffee in compostable materials and send everything out via the Royal Mail network. Royal Mail are actively tackling their emissions per delivery and able to provide data that makes them the UKs lowest emitter per delivery.
