Purchase of green powerIn order to implement CO2 neutrality quickly, Muster GmbH & Co. KG will initially rely on the purchase of green electricity from existing plants. In 2019, we have therefore started to strongly expand the purchase of electricity from renewable sources with corresponding certificates of origin. Climate protection in the value chainIn order to expand our commitment to climate protection, we are also focusing on our indirect emissions - i.e. goods and services procured, business travel, but also the transport and use phase of our products. Here, too, we have an ambitious target: by 2030 we will reduce our indirect emissions by 15 percent. We have therefore set ourselves climate protection targets across the entire value chain. The four levers of the neutral positionWe have defined four levers for the implementation of our climate target: firstly, increase energy efficiency, secondly, expand the supply of renewable energies, thirdly, expand the purchase of green electricity, fourthly, offset unavoidable CO2 emissions with compensation measures.
