Net-Zero VehiclesWe know what we’re committing to when we use the term ‘Net-Zero,’ and as such we intend to achieve at least a 90% reduction in the emissions of our journeys in the UK and developed markets by 2030, and in emerging markets by 2035. Zeelo is an asset-light company; we rely on our transportation partners for electric (Net Zero) fleets. To assist the industry in its drive to become electric and to mitigate challenges associated with electric vehicles deployment, Zeelo created a scheme that allows operators an easier adoption of electric vehicles. Leading with long-term client contracts, partnering with bus & coach importers, and partnering with charging and financing companies, we support our transportation operators to make the transition to electric as easy as possible.
Taking single-occupancy-vehicles of the roadZeelo is committed to offer shared mobility solutions that replace single-occupancy vehicles (SOV), contributing to a sustainable modal shift. In Europe, 13% of all CO2 emissions come from passenger cars. In the UK, 60% of employees drive to work in single-occupancy-vehicles, contributing negatively to GHG emissions and to congestion. By reducing the number of cars used for commuting and the number of SOVs we can assist in reducing emissions.
Intelligent transportation routingZeelo smart algorithms build routes that are based on data and create transport efficiencies. On top of the savings achieved by taking SOVs off the road, our algorithms allow us to make our shared routes as efficient as possible, not only being able to move the most people from private cars to shared solutions, but also to make sure our own routes are climate efficient.
