GET READY FOR... CARBON NEUTRAL SNACKING!Our mission is to make the planet perky again! We have offset all 501 tonnes of our carbon emissions (enough required to drive a car 39 times around the world)! Perkier isn’t just stopping at being carbon neutral, we have our sights set on bigger challenges. Net Zero is no easy feat, but we have set the goal to be Net Zero by 2030, by further reducing our emissions throughout our supply chain and using more renewable energy sources. We’re also protecting the planet using only palm oil free and vegan ingredients giving a whole new meaning to guilt free snacking!!
Sustainable Ingredients Did you know, Plant Based Diets have 50% lower CO2 emissions? Yep we know – that’s an unbelievable percentage, and one that’s often overlooked by government & big food companies. This is why our ingredients are 100% vegan! Palm oil is a key cause of deforestation in Borneo and Indonesia, we therefore use absolutely no palm oil ensuring we aren’t contributing to palm deforestation! Learn more
Waste Globally we waste 1.3 Billion Tonnes of food each year, and as a country we have the highest amount of food waste in Europe! When food isn’t recycled it goes into landfill releasing methane contributing to the climate crisis. This is why during the pandemic we donated over 100,000 Perkier bars to food banks such as The Trussell Trust to ensure they went to good homes rather than the bin! Additionally our manufacturers are currently sending any excess product to Ukraine to support those affected by the ongoing crisis. Learn more
Packaging Our packaging is 100% recyclable; from the cardboard boxes, right down to the film we wrap our bars in. The cardboard can be popped in your recycle bin, and the film should be taken to supermarkets with flexible plastics recycling or you can check with your local recycling service to see if they recycle it. We are currently on a mission to find even more sustainable packaging options which are easier to dispose of, but still keep our bars tasting fresh and delicious throughout their entire shelf life.
